Contaminants of Concern

Tetrachloroethene (PCE), trichloroethene (TCE), and 1,1-dichloroethene (1,1-DCE)

Action Taken

Two early response action (ERA) soil vapor extraction (SVE) remedial projects at two different facilities within the site have significantly reduced the contamination by extracting vapors from contaminated soil. The ERA at the F&B Manufacturing Inc. facility (F&B) was augmented with in-situ enhanced reductive de-chlorination (ERD) injections at the release area.

Status

The Record of Decision (ROD) was issued in August 2020. The Selected Remedy includes soil vapor extraction (SVE), enhanced reductive dechlorination (ERD), and monitored natural attenuation (MNA). The remedy is being implemented in accordance with the ROD.
