On April 2, 2025, the comment period begins on the preliminary decision to renew the Air Quality General Permit for Concrete Batch Plants. The comment period ends May 2, 2025.
Permit Information:
A General Permit is a type of permit that applies to a class of sources. These permits contain requirements from the Federal Clean Air Act, Arizona Revised Statutes (A.R.S.) § 49-426, the Arizona Administrative Code, Title 18, Chapter 2 including applicable regulations from Maricopa, Pima, and Pinal Counties.
The Air Quality General Permit for Concrete Batch Plants is a renewal of the current permit. Facilities permitted under the Air Quality General Permit for Concrete Batch Plant will emit the following air contaminants: particulate matter with an aerodynamic diameter less than 10 microns (PM10), particulate matter with an aerodynamic diameter less than 2.5 microns (PM2.5), volatile organic compounds (VOCs), nitrogen oxides (NOx), sulfur dioxide (SO2), carbon monoxide (CO) and hazardous air pollutants (HAPs).
