Forecast Discussion:

Similar air quality trends we've seen earlier this week will continue into the weekend. High temperatures will reach the 80s by tomorrow in the lower desert, and will remain until Sunday as an intense storm system enters the region. Though increased precipitation is expected in California from this system, southern Arizona will not be quite as lucky.

Precipitation chances for next week will only reach the northern half of the state, keeping the southern half relatively dry. Cooler temperatures on the back side of the system will strengthen morning inversions next week.

As for air quality, we could potentially see PM2.5 increase after our upcoming system on Saturday/Sunday, however as mentioned, air quality trends will continue as they were for the rest of the week.

We're halfway through the week!
